We’re incredibly honored to share that Voyage Michigan Magazine recently featured our owner and director, Lacey Ingersoll, in an interview highlighting her journey, leadership, and the story behind Fitch Dance Company.

As a nearly 50-year legacy studio, this feature means so much to our team and community. Dance has always been about more than technique for us — it’s about building confidence, creating lifelong friendships, inspiring growth, and giving dancers a place where they truly belong.

In the interview, Lacey shares more about:

  • Growing up in the studio environment

  • Taking on the responsibility of continuing a family legacy

  • The challenges and rewards of business ownership

  • Her vision for the future of the studio

  • The impact dance can have on young people both inside and outside the classroom

One of the biggest themes throughout the conversation is the importance of community and creating an environment where dancers feel supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow into the best versions of themselves.

For decades, our studio has been shaped by passionate teachers, dedicated families, hardworking dancers, and a community that continues to believe in what we do. We’re incredibly grateful for every person who has been part of this journey — past and present.

Being recognized by Voyage Michigan is such a special reminder of how meaningful this work truly is, and we’re excited for everything still ahead.
