I’m incredibly honored to share that I was recently featured in an interview with Bold Journey Magazine, where I had the opportunity to reflect on my journey as a dancer, teacher, and studio owner.

Being invited to share my story on this platform meant a lot to me because Bold Journey focuses on highlighting the paths, challenges, and passions of entrepreneurs and creatives who are building something meaningful in their communities.

A Journey Rooted in Passion

Dance has been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up surrounded by the arts and eventually stepping into the role of studio owner has been both an incredible privilege and a huge responsibility.

In the interview, I share about the experiences that shaped my career and how my passion for dance evolved into a lifelong commitment to teaching and mentoring young dancers.

Running a studio is about so much more than choreography or technique. It’s about creating a space where students feel encouraged, supported, and inspired to grow — both as dancers and as people.

Carrying Forward a Legacy

One of the most meaningful parts of my journey has been continuing a legacy that began long before me. Our studio has served generations of dancers, and being part of that history is something I hold very close to my heart.

Every season brings new dancers, new challenges, and new opportunities to grow. But the heart of what we do remains the same: building confidence, discipline, creativity, and community through dance.

The Challenges Behind the Scenes

Like any entrepreneurial journey, owning and operating a dance studio comes with its share of challenges. From balancing business responsibilities to maintaining high standards for training, it takes dedication, resilience, and an incredible support system.

In the interview, I talk about some of those realities — the obstacles, the lessons learned, and the persistence required to keep moving forward.

What keeps me going is seeing the impact dance can have on a young person’s life. Watching students discover their potential, gain confidence, and grow over the years is truly the most rewarding part of this work.

Why Sharing These Stories Matters

Opportunities like this interview allow me to step back and reflect on the bigger picture — why I started this journey and why I continue it today.

Dance is more than an activity. It’s a form of expression, discipline, and personal growth. And the studio community that forms around it becomes something incredibly special.

If my story can inspire even one young dancer to pursue their passion or encourage someone to keep going despite challenges, then sharing it is absolutely worth it.
