Lacey Ingersoll

Lacey Ingersoll is the proud owner of a legacy dance studio known as Fitch Dance Company, originally founded by her grandparents, Jeff and Kathleen Fitch, in 1979. At just 27, Lacey has already dedicated over a decade to teaching and choreographing dance, stepping into ownership in 2018 to carry on her family’s passion for movement and artistry. With a strong background in producing full-scale productions, recitals, and competitive routines, Lacey brings both tradition and fresh creativity to every class and performance. Her mission is to inspire the next generation of dancers while honoring the deep roots her grandparents planted decades ago.

In addition to her decade of teaching dance, Lacey has over 20 years of dance experience specializing in jazz, lyrical/contemporary, tap, and hip hop, while also offering training in ballet, Celtic, and other styles. She continues to train and grow as both a dancer and educator, bringing fresh perspective and technique to her classes. Her choreography has been recognized at competitions, with many of her routines placing and winning top awards.

What truly sets Lacey and her studio apart is the sense of connection that fills the space. Generations of dancers have grown up in the studio, many now bringing their own children to dance under Lacey’s guidance. It’s more than just a place to learn steps—it’s a second home where creativity thrives, friendships form, and every dancer feels like family.

"Throughout the years, I’ve had the honor of being featured in several local magazine interviews where I’ve shared the story of my journey in dance and studio ownership. In these conversations, I reflect on growing up in the studio, continuing a nearly 50-year family legacy, and the passion that drives me to keep evolving our program for the next generation of dancers. Each interview has been an opportunity to speak about the heart of our studio community, dedication, and the belief that dance can shape confidence, character, and lifelong memories."
